Los Angeles Visionaries Association

Richard Standingbear Berni, a Boyle Heights native, collected a unique array of researchers and investigators to work together using methods of research and science to not only advance work in the realms of paranormal research, but to bring aid and understanding to our community. 

The neighborhoods that make up the East Side of Los Angeles and the collective culture that generations of residents have created here are relatively unknown to anyone outside of it. Boyle Heights Paranormal Project  is a group that is not only interested in the paranormal in relation to this part of Los Angeles, but in preserving, documenting and sharing the history that is made here. 

BHPP's liaison for LAVA is Sarah Troop, a native Angeleno, who has been working as an acoustics and physics specialist in paranormal research for the past six years.
