There will be a cash bar featuring drink specials as well as a complementary glass from Charles Smith Wines.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.danfante.net\/\" target=\"blank\">Dan Fante<\/a>: the author most recently of <em><a href=\"http:\/\/astore.amazon.com\/bubble1-20\/detail\/006222901X\" target=\"_blank\">Point Doom<\/a><\/em> will talk about Bukowski\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s relationship with his father, the great L.A. novelist John Fante.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/suzannelummis.com\/\" target=\"blank\">Suzanne Lummis<\/a>: the noted Los Angeles poet will share her memories of Bukowski, and discuss his seminal role in the development of the Los Angeles poetry scene.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.silverbirchpress.com\/\" target=\"blank\">Melanie Villines<\/a>: the editor of <em>Bukowski: An Anthology of Poetry &amp; Prose About Charles Bukowski<\/em>&nbsp;(Silver Birch Press, 2013), will discuss this project and Bukowski\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s continued literary influence, two decades after his death.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/newsroom.ucla.edu\/portal\/ucla\/hyry-appointment-152164.aspx\" target=\"_blank\">Thomas Hyry<\/a>: the Director of UCLA Library Special Collections will share material from the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cdlib.org\/cdlinfo\/2011\/01\/07\/behind-the-finding-aid-ucla-librarys-john-fante-papers\/\" target=\"_blank\">John Fante Papers<\/a> that illuminate Bukowski&#8217;s relationship with the older writer he called &#8220;my God.&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-size: 12px; font-family: 'Lucida Grande', Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;\">Drink specials will be available in the newly renovated Invention bar, and parking will be validated for a flat rate of $4.50 in the&nbsp;<span class=\"caps\" style=\"font-style: normal; font-size: 12px;\">LAAC<\/span>&nbsp;lot.&nbsp;<span style=\"font-style: normal; font-size: 12px; line-height: 1.5;\">Also, Salon guests will enjoy a complentary glass courtesy of <\/span><a style=\"font-style: normal; font-size: 12px; line-height: 1.5;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.charlessmithwines.com\/charles-smith-wines\/wines\/current\/\" target=\"_blank\">Charles Smith Wines<\/a><span style=\"font-size: 12px; line-height: 1.5;\">.
