Opulent Mobility is a juried art exhibit running from September 6-8, 2013  <\/span>at the Bell Arts Factory<\/a> in Ventura, CA. The show\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s goal is to start a conversation about new ideas and options for mobility and disability devices, designs and everyday living. Show opening is September 6th from 6-9 PM. <\/p>\n

Priscilla Sutton\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s show \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Spare Parts<\/a>\u00e2\u20ac\u009d, made from used prosthetic limbs given to artists around the world for re-designing, will put in a virtual appearance from Australia. UCP Wheels For Humanity<\/a> will spread the word about their charity which increases access to mobility for people with disabilities in developing countries.<\n\n

Longtime costume creator and LAVA Visionary A. Laura Brody developed Opulent Mobility. Her re-made mobility device \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Driven, The Edwardian Cyborg Wheelchair\u00e2\u20ac\u009d was published in Dr. Grymm\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s \u00e2\u20ac\u01531000 Steampunk Devices\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Le Flaneur or the Steam Walker\u00e2\u20ac\u009d, a Victorian-inspired walker showed at the Charles River Museum of Industry and Innovation.
