Carolyn Kellogg

Carolyn Kellogg writes about books. She writes the LA Times book blog Jacket Copy and bookish news and features for the paper. She’s on the board of the National Book Critics Circle, teaches writing in Los Angeles and has an MFA in creative writing from the University of Pittsburgh. Carolyn started writing years ago with the fanzine Fizz, although technically her first published article was a piece that ran in the ACLU newsletter and was reprinted in Lowrider Magazine. She has been editor of LAist.com, web editor for the radio show Marketplace and web producer at the California Community Foundation. She’s one of the organizers of the sneakily acronymned LADWP, a very informal organization of LA writers who get together for drinks.
