Charles Fletcher Lummis: Crusader in Corduroy, Founder Emeritus Southwest Museum

Kim Walters, Ahmanson Curator of Native American History and Culture, presents an illustrated lecture about Charles Lummis (March 1, 1859–November 24, 1928). Her talk will include a brief biographical overview of Lummis and his adventures in the Southwest and Peru—and a discussion of the major organizations that he founded to preserve California missions, his assistance with American Indian causes, and the establishment of the Southwest Society and the Southwest Museum.
